One principle never changes, the nervous system controls and coordinates every single function in our body from every cell, tissue, muscle, and organ all the way to immune system, digestive system, and even reproductive function. Research has shown that the birthing process is the most common cause of misalignments we see in children. This results in added stress to their nervous system causing them to grow up with a nervous system that is not functioning at 100%.
Children do not often directly indicate that there is pain occurring. They often express misalignments or subluxations in the form of colic, infantile reflux, allergies, ear infections, constipation, asthma, ADHD, and the list continues. What does this mean for kids that are “healthy” and not expressing any symptoms; do they still need care? If your child does not express any of those symptoms, that is great! However, understand that even though they may “feel good, look good, and have no symptoms,” this does not necessarily mean that they are healthy and functioning at their optimal potential. True health is based on how the body is functioning and adapting to everyday stressors, which is only determined through a health assessment. A great example of this concept is all of the professional sport leagues, very few of which are seeing the chiropractor for low back pain. They are seeking adjustments which allow their body to heal and function at a higher level giving them an advantage to their competition including better reaction time.
- We utilize technology in our office to detect any interference within the nervous system, as to be proactive about health instead of reactive. This technology also provides us an avenue to track progress throughout care in our office.
- We have the same goal as parents when it comes to their children. We want to keep them healthy, happy, and allow them to live a better life than we have. We can do this through specific chiropractic care by removing any interference to their nervous system and providing them with the best chance possible to grow up without the health concerns many of our adults struggle with today. Healthy children grow up to be healthy adults, and we strive to make an impact that leaves the next generation far healthier than we ever were. #LittleWarriors
